Sheret Ross (Toronto-Canada)

Sheret co-founded Spruce Grove Capital ("SGC"), a traditional search fund with the mission to provide succession and growth capital to bootstrapped founders. SGC successfully acquired Cardata in 2021, one of the largest providers of reimbursement software and services to businesses with employee-owned fleets. After acquiring the business and assuming operational roles, SGC tripled annually recurring revenue and completed a majority recap with Wavecrest Growth Partners and MassMutual Ventures in 2023.

Prior to co-founding SGC, Sheret was a Stream Lead at the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), an entrepreneurship program designed to scale and commercialize early-stage (pre-Seed to Series A) ventures. During his time at CDL, Sheret recruited, evaluated, and provided operational support to artificial intelligence startups, such as Tenstorrent, Xanadu, and Untether AI. These startups have raised over $200M and have created over $1B in equity value.

Prior to joining CDL, Sheret was the first hire and COO for Xanadu, one of the VC-backed graduates from CDL. In this role, he led business strategy and day-to-day operations, including recruitment, accounting, banking, legal, financing, procurement, partnerships, and P&L ownership.

Sheret has also held a variety of operational roles across marketing, sales, and business development for both AB InBev and Lightspeed POS. During his time at AB InBev, Sheret was responsible for a $3.5B retail category and led the commercial distribution strategy within Ontario. While at Lightspeed POS, Sheret worked with the company’s CEO and CFO on strategic alliances and special projects, including affiliate partnerships, marketplace development, and hardware procurement negotiations.

Sheret received a BCom from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
