Fred Krawchuk, Senior Adviser - San Francisco

Fred is an Adjunct to the RAND Corporation responsible for strategic planning, a Senior Strategic Consultant at Aperio International and Senior Lecturer in Operations at IESE Business School. He also serves as an Advisory Board member to the Coming Home Project. Fred is a retired Army Colonel who was the Director, Commander’s Initiative Group in Afghanistan and the Deputy Director, Joint Interagency Force in Iraq. Fred has been leading high-risk operations around the globe including peacekeeping in the Balkans, special operations in Latin America and Southeast Asia, and counterinsurgency in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was the first Special Forces officer to be awarded the George C. Marshall Fellowship at the U.S. Department of State. He is an Olmsted Scholar and General MacArthur Leadership Award Winner. He is a West Point graduate, holds an MBA from IESE Business School and an MPA from Harvard University.
